We offer two assistance programs, Link-Up New Hampshire and LifeLine Telephone Assistance, which are designed to make telephone service more affordable to qualifying customers. These programs are sponsored by the New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission and the New Hampshire telephone companies.
Link-Up New Hampshire
This program reduces the normal installation charges for local telephone service by 50 percent (a credit of $19.50) and it offers the flexibility to spread the remaining service connection payments over a one year period with no interest charges.
LifeLine Telephone Assistance
This program reduces your local telephone bill by $8.25 per month. This amount is shown on your bill as a credit of $1.75 off your monthly one party unlimited Residence Service and a credit of $6.50 for the FCC Access line Charge.
How Do I Qualify for These Programs?
To qualify, you must be the billed party for the residence line and must be receiving one or more of the following assistance programs: Medicaid, Food Stamps, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Federal Public Housing Assistance, Low Income Home Energy Assistance, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, National School Lunch Program, or if your income is at or below 135% of the Federally Recognized Poverty Guidelines.
