Granite State Telephone Pioneer Club Spreads Holiday Cheer to Local Nursing Home
Hillsboro, NH January 3, 2007 In the spirit of the holidays, the Granite State Telephone Pioneer Club recently delivered over $500 worth of Christmas gifts to the residents of the Hillsboro House Nursing Home. This marks the 7th consecutive year that the organization has made this contribution. Sweat suits, cardigan sweaters, socks, cameras and blankets were among the many items delivered by Pioneer Club members.
The Granite State Pioneer Club is a philanthropic organization that was founded by the employees of Granite State Telephone in 1992 to serve the communities of southern New Hampshire. The Club is an active chapter of the Independent Telephone Pioneer Association, a national, non-profit widely known for its charity work and philanthropic support of a variety of associations. Over 30 Granite State Telephone employees are members of the Granite State Pioneer Club. The club organizes various volunteer events throughout the year and makes contributions to numerous charitable causes.
