Granite State Telephone Hosts 16th Annual Open House & Customer Appreciation Day on September 20th

WEARE, NH – October 02, 2008 – Granite State Telephone hosted its 16th annual open house and customer appreciation day on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the company's Chester Operations Center located in Chester, NH. About 300 people enjoyed the festivities which included a magic show and workshop by Steve Thomas, an award-winning magician with over 25 years experience as an actor and magician, a cookout, Nintendo Wii playstation, face painting, and pumpkin painting.

The company also awarded Eleanor Bassett of Sandown, NH with the Hometown Hero Award at the event. This award is given annually to an individual in the company's serving area for their outstanding contributions to the community. Eleanor was certainly deserving of this award, as she, along with several other volunteers, started the Sandown Food Pantry and has personally manned it, solicited donations, and delivered meals to families in need for several years.

Customer Service Representatives were also available at the event to meet customers, demonstrate the company's Quickstream High Speed Internet service and discuss FiberNetSM, our new fiber optic Internet and telephone service.

Following are photos from the event. Additional file formats are available upon request.
